Rev. Michael S. Hageman was born in Lyons, Kansas to Bruce and Teresa Hageman on December 9, 1977. A native of Abilene, Kan., Rev. Hageman met his future wife, Shanna of Manhattan, at a debate tournament in Hutchinson Kansas and eventually was married to her on January 1, 2000. Since that time Rev. Hageman and Shanna have been blessed with two talented girls, Selah and Kiera Hageman.
Rev. Hageman graduated from Concordia University, Neb. in 2000; and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo, in 2004. Rev. Hageman was called to the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio, to Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in 2004 and served the Lord in Cleveland by serving on multiple boards throughout the Lutheran community in the city and concentrating on outreach to differing multicultural groups in Cleveland. Rev. Hageman was then called to serve the Lord in a changing community at Trinity Lutheran Church and School of Rockledge, Florida in the fall of 2009. He was heavily involved with the school ministry at Trinity and also served a long-term vacancy at Grace Lutheran Church and Pre-school, Merritt Island, Florida by connecting families to the life of the church.
Rev. Hageman enjoys the outdoors and participating in sporting events. He has been known to work with his hands and enjoys to have a good time with those around him. He and his family are excited to serve the Lord and the people in the community of Garden City and Trinity Lutheran Church.

Director of Christian Education/Family Life Minister
Married to Tim. The two grew up in the same town, attended the same school and church, then each married his/her dearest friend. Their friendship continues after twenty-eight years. Their current family make-up is Tim, Cynthia…and Kitty…their cat with a big personality. Cynthia has one brother who lives in Iowa, and four step siblings.
Cynthia grew up in central Iowa and worked in the floral industry from 1975-1995, when she (and Tim) moved to Seward, Nebraska, where she enrolled for classes at Concordia University, with Tim’s support, working at Walker Mufflers.
In 1998, near the completion for her D.C.E. certification, Tim and Cynthia made their home in Garden City, where she completed her degree with an internship at Trinity Lutheran Church. Subsequently, Trinity issued a Divine Call to Cynthia, which she accepted.
Tim works as a Building Facility Manager at Garden City’s Bible Christian Church. The Lavrenzes enjoy fishing, gardening, and playing games in their few spare waking hours at home together.
Besides her time consuming duties as Director of Christian Education for the Trinity family, Cynthia is guardian of four individual persons, and is responsible for making financial and physical decisions for them, in service to the State of Kansas. Additionally, she serves on the Finney County Family Crisis Board, and is a volunteer chaplain at Garden City’s St. Catherine Hospital.
Cynthia enjoys working out at the local YMCA in her spare time!
Katy Pauley has been married to Paul for 22 years. They have 3 daughters Bethany, Brianna, and Bailey. She has one brother, who is currently in New Orleans. She grew up in Colorado, moving to Garden City in 1991. Her parents moved to the area in 2009.
Katy graduated from Concordia University-Nebraska with a BA in Liberal Arts-Sociology, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. She spent 6 years as a patrol officer for the Garden City Police Department; then 7 years supervising the probation officers that supervised juvenile offenders. She has been at Trinity since late 2003.
Her family is her only hobby. She loves watching her kids compete and perform. Attending family reunions and cousins reunions with extended family are the highlight of her year! It is wonderful having extended family, including their Trinity family, involved in their lives.
Tammy Lampe is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Preschool Director. Tammy Lampe has worked at the Preschool for 20 years, starting out as the preschool Para then working to get her Directors certificate.
Tammy has been married to Kevin Lampe for 33 years and they have 2 grown children. Tammy believes that with the help of each parent and Christ’s guidance, each child can know the love of the Lord.
I attended Trinity Lutheran Preschool for two years before moving to Lakin with my mom and step dad at the age of five. After graduating from Lakin High School in 2009 I attended Emporia State University majoring in elementary education. I graduated from Emporia with my Bachelor in Education in 2012. I met my husband Braden while we were both attending high school in Lakin. We were married on December 31, 2011.
After college Braden and I moved to Satanta where he began farming with his family while I began my first year teaching fourth grade in Hugoton. After one year in Hugoton, I took a job in Satanta teaching fourth grade Reading and Social Studies. I was there for 3 years before getting the amazing opportunity to come back to the preschool I once attended and aid Mrs. Lampe.
I am excited to join the Trinity Lutheran staff and help Mrs. Lampe, who was once my teacher, make a wonderful impact on kids’ lives the way she and Mrs. Hewes made an impact on mine.
