Youth Group – 5th-12th grade
The Trinity Lutheran Youth Group exists to introduce teenagers to Jesus, nurture them in their faith, and equip them for a lifetime of living in God’s mercy. We encourage our teenagers to invest themselves in the life of our church through Midweek, Divine Worship, Servant Events, discipleship, and more. Trinity’s Youth Group is open to all students from 5th – 12th grade.
A wide variety of activities are available.
Youth Ministry for 5th – 12th grade
Every Wednesday youth gather in the basement from 6:30 – 8:15 p.m. for prayer, devotions, studying God’s Word, planning opportunities, and social activities. Sunday mornings they meet in the basement for Bible Study from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Kansas District Youth Gatherings happen the weekend before Thanksgiving for 9th – 12th graders. The Gatherings have over 150 youth participating who serve the community the Gathering meets and celebrate learning God’s Word with one another.
The Kansas District also sponsors a summer camp at Lutheran Valley Retreat in Colorado. This camp is about 5 days long and allows youth to be challenged to rely upon others and grow in God’s Word.
Our LYR (Lutheran Youth Representative)
Meet Kiera Hageman, who is our Lutheran Youth Representative (LYR) for the state of Kansas. Kiera has been given the opportunity to grow in faith and strengthen her leadership skills as she shares the love of Christ with other youth. She attends meetings of the District Youth Ministry Team, helps at events such as the Kansas District Youth Gathering, and visits churches, where she worships with different Lutheran congregations and presents Bible studies she’s been trained to lead.
